Pleasure cycling means enjoying and being active in one. Especially for families with children this is a perfect leisure activity to get to know the culture and nature of the Vinschgau Valley. And where better to do this than on the ancient Via Claudia Augusta trade route? Blossoming apple meadows. Historic village centres. Castles and chateaux. And one or the other cosy café directly on the Etsch cycle path to linger. What more could you ask for!

Mountain bikers beware: the Upper Vinschgau Valley is the ideal holiday destination if you are looking for well-marked trails for all levels of difficulty. Whether in the valley, in the medium mountain range or high up on the alpine pastures – here every mountain biker’s heart beats faster. Thanks to the mild climate most of the routes are passable from the beginning of April to the end of November, which means that you can still cycle in the low season!

The surroundings around the Reschen Pass are full of single trails and downhill tracks. The first of a total of 21 trails were opened in summer 2014, and the last are scheduled for completion in spring 2019. Then it’s time to activate coordination and endurance and above all have fun! Discover the new 3-country Enduro trails and let the wind blow around your ears.

Of course you do not necessarily have to own a bike for your cycling holiday in the Vinschgau Valley or take it with you from home. In the Vinschgau Valley there are numerous bicycle rentals, which are there for you from April to October and have the suitable bicycle ready for you. Whether city bikes, mountain bikes, e-bikes, children’s bikes or even trekking bikes and hard-trails – at “SüdtirolBike” and “Papin Rent a Bike” you will certainly find what you are looking for!
